Flexographic Print Limitations – Terms & Conditions
At Lab Pizza , we strive to supply 100% perfect boxes. However, due to the nature of the flexographic printing process, certain variations may occur. Flexographic printing is a basic print method where a polymer stereo applies ink onto a relatively unstable substrate. While we maintain strict quality control, minor inconsistencies may occasionally arise.
- Manufacturing Process: Pizza boxes are printed using a post-print flexographic process.
- Colour Movement: Individual colours may shift by up to 3mm in any direction.
- Keylines: Overlapping colours may produce keylines.
- Flute Shadow: Large areas of solid colour may exhibit visible flute shadowing.
- Colour Variations: Colours may vary throughout the print run.
- Halftone Limitations: The ability to reproduce halftones is limited and is simulated using dot patterns.
- Pantone U Colours: All specified Pantone colours must be Uncoated (U), as the material used is uncoated paper.
While these limitations are inherent to the printing process, they occur only in rare instances, and we take every possible measure to minimize them. By placing an order, the client acknowledges and accepts these potential flexographic printing variations.
